A beautifully restored traditional farmhouse set in its own 2.5 hectare grounds and benefiting from superb views of the Gran Sasso and surrounding valley. This is a very special house that was lovingly restored 4 years ago.
Accommodation compromises a large double bedroom on the ground floor, with an en-suite bathroom. On the upper floor a large double bedroom with private terrace and a smaller bedroom with a bunk bed. There is a bathroom with large shower on the upper floor along with a large terrace to the rear which enjoys amazing views, use this to watch the sun setting.
A large open plan kitchen / dining / lounge has access on two sides out to paved terrace areas, the larger area to the rear giving direct access to the wonderful 12 x 5 metre swimming pool which benefits from a automatic natural salt chlorination system (no more dry skin and chemical smell after swimming!)
Location
This property is located just outside a village called Villa Cupoli in Abruzzo, Italy. Villa Cupoli is a small Italian town which benefits from one of the best family run Osteria’s (restaurant’s) in the area (Osteria Villa Cupoli, a member of the ‘Slow Food’ organization). There is also a bar and two other restaurants. The nearby village of Farindola, a typical Italian village which clings to the side of a hill also has other bars and restaurants to choose from as well as a number of small shops selling groceries and provisions, bread, milk, meat and vegetables etc.
Villa Cupoli is about 50 minutes drive from the main Abruzzo airport in Pescara and about 20 minutes from larger towns such as Penne. The surrounding valley and mountains provide stunning scenery and places such as L’Aquila, Atri, Rocca Calascio and Santo Stefano di Sessanio are all within easy reach and well worth visiting.
