You are sure of a warm and friendly welcome from John and Mary, two people who genuinely love Italy and especially the region. Undici (“eleven”) is a 1960s-modernised house built around an old typical Abruzzi farmhouse. Situated in the heart of Toballesco, a hamlet surrounded by splendid views, we give you the peace and quiet you would expect from rural countryside with comfortable furniture, gas central heating, tiled floors, barbecue and lawned garden, and yet near enough to enjoy local customs. We offer Continental-style bed and breakfast. The village of Conaprato is a ten-minutes’ walk away to an excellent pizzeria and a bar. There are many first-class restaurants in the immediate area.

Location

Set in half an acre of olive and fruit trees, we are on the outskirts of the Gran Sasso National Park, only 45 minutes away from the Campo Imperatore, famous in winter for cross-country skiing. We are just 45 minutes from the beach. The walk along Pescara’s sea-front offers an enriched variety of good food from around the world, as well as bars and gelateria (ice-cream parlours).

Abruzzo is an area of outstanding unspoilt natural beauty, offering a whole range of outdoor pursuits such as walking, mountain climbing and biking, and horse riding for those looking for an action-packed holiday. You may be lucky enough to spy one of the brown bears, wolves, or wild boar that inhabit the region. Or, choose to relax in the wonderfully peaceful atmosphere at Undici, and take in an optional tour.

Rome is only about 2¾  hours away by coach. Why not stay in our ‘partner’ hotel, Hotel Silla, situated 30 metres from Ottaviano/S Pietro metro station on Linea A, and 10 minutes walk to The Vatican (details in useful websites at the end).

Upon arrival a welcome meal awaits and a free guided tour of the area is also inclusive either on the next day, or on a day of your choice.

Your apartment has its own entry off the cool portico leading to an entrance hall. From here three doors lead to private accommodation, your bathroom and your room. This large room is furnished with dressing table, drawers, wardrobe, bedside cabinets, refrigerator and coffee table. There is a futon, which converts to a double-sized bed. A king-size double bed complements the furnishings. A DVD player with a range of dvds, radio/CD player, games, books, as well as guide and phrase books are available. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided.

The garden

Feel free to explore the grounds. Set in half an acre, as well as a fully functioning kitchen garden, you will find olive and fruit trees and palms. A barbecue area and lawn  provide peaceful alfresco dining, as well as a perimeter walk among flowerbeds and shrubs.

Facilities

Full linen and towels are provided and a washing machine is available for your use, reducing the need to bring excessive luggage. The shower room contains shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Children are welcome and a cot is available.

Extras

Satnav, tents, mountain bikes and bike carrier for your car are available to hire, and extra tours can be booked as well as a meet-and-greet service from Pescara at optional cost.
A ‘Gold Service’ is available, giving you the exclusive use of car and driver for your stay, up to 240Km (150miles) per day. Journeys over 240Km: excess charge of €0.50 per Km (based on bed and breakfast status).

At reasonable cost we can chauffeur you to the many restaurants and bars in the area.

Low season (February, March, November) – €350
Mid season: (April, May, June, October) – €360
High season (July, August, September) – €375

These prices are per week, per room based on two adults sharing*. Add €200 for two additional adults sharing the same room. Continental breakfast is included.

Short breaks are available:

Low season: €55
Mid season: €60
High season: €65

These prices are per night, per room based on two adults sharing*. Add €40 for two additional adults sharing the same room. Continental breakfast is included.

*No extra cost for your accompanied children up to the age of 16 years
on any of our rates.

When making a booking, a non-returnable deposit of €100 is required. This deposit will be deducted from your final bill at the end of your stay
